Norwood Firefighters Local 1631

It started as a Rock 💔

Most of you know that John was not only a Norwood Firefighters Local 1631 but he was also in the Blasting Industry. He held a Blasting License for over 30 years.

He wanted a “Rock” as a Headstone.

It certainly was a surreal experience making that happen since it is mine as well. With the help of my brother John Johnston and Nick Foss they blasted some ledge in Scituate. They picked out the perfect stone and brought it back to the shop. With the help of my family and friends they used the process of Feathers and Wedges to square it up. Once that was done it was shipped up to Barre, Vermont with the help of Tribute In Stone Monument Company . It then traveled through all of the New England states before landing back in the cemetery in Wrentham. So if you are in the area stop in and say Hi Bellanti . I know John would think is was “pissah”.

John will always be my “Rock” in life 💔 2/24/21
